Description
Storage On Board
With the onboard hard disc drive, the 722 is always equipped with available storage media. That is among many included features, along with its small size and durable construction, provided by the 722 for high-resolution portable audio capture. Sharing a common menu architecture with the 7-Series family of recorders, the 722 is intuitive to operate. Powering by external 10-18 VDC or Sony-compatible camcorder battery allows flexibility for use in portable and studio applications alike.
Data Storage and Transfer
The 722 records uncompressed PCM or compressed MP3 audio to its internal hard drive, a Compact Flash card and an external FireWire drive simultaneously. It can be connected to Mac OS or Windows computers with FireWire 400 for high-speed data transfer.
7-Series Family of Recorders
The 7-Series Recorders possess unmatched capability in a compact packages, each designed for unique user requirements. As with other 7-Series Recorders, the 722 can be used as a stand-alone device, fed by numerous analog mic, line, or digital AES-3 outputs, or preceded by a portable audio mixer such as Sound Devices' 664, 552 or 302.
