Overview

Adobe Audition CS6 for Windows is professional audio production software that facilitates a range of tasks, from editing audio for video to creating multitrack mixes, and from sweetening tracks to correcting pitch, removing noise, applying effects, and more. For Audition users who missed many of the functions that didn't make the journey from Audition 3 to the CS5.5 version, Audition CS6 restores dozens of these features, such as the Metronome and exporting to CD.

Audition remains a versatile program. With support for Mackie and EUCON control surface protocols, the software holds much utility for seasoned audio professionals. And taking into account its automatic speech alignment and round-trip workflow with Premiere Pro, Audition CS6 is especially useful for video editors who are perfectionists about audio. You can repair tracks with the popular Spectral Spot Healing brush, the DeHummer, hiss reduction, automatic click/pop removal, and many more tools. Editors can also import and play back many more video formats, including XDCAM, H.264, AVI, and WMV files.

Dozens of effects and processing tools are of course standard, and added for CS6 are Real-Time and Varispeed Clip Time Stretch, Gain Envelope, loudness matching for ITU BS.1770-2 standards, Doppler Shifter, Generate Tones, and support for VST3 effects. Whether you're producing audio for video, games, radio spots, or anything else, Audition CS6 provides professional-level tools and unparalleled integration with a galaxy of other CS6 family creative applications.
